For the Love of Stamps - Celebrate with a Bang - Design Team Card using Fantastic Fireworks

Good Morning Everyone!

So . . . the last day of 2017!  I have been reflecting and to be honest I will be glad for this year to be over. I don't share much of my personal life, but it's been a hard year. I didn't get a chance to learn to crochet or scrapbook more so I am taking those goals with me into 2018. I am thankful for all my family and friends - and just want to say thanks to everyone who has been there for me (whether they realised or not!)

And so today I am sharing one of my Design Team Cards from the December stamp and mask launch by For the Love of Stamps by Hunkydory. I thought this would be the perfect card to share today as I am sure there will be many fireworks tonight! For this card I have used the Fantastic Fireworks Stamps and Mask with the Love is in the Air stamp set.

Products Used:
Fantastic Fireworks! Stamps and Mask
Love is in the Air stamps
4” x 6” Card blank
Watercolour Card
Distress Oxides; Wilted Violet, Black Soot, Salty Ocean, Fossilized Amber
Distress Inks: Chipped Saphire
White Gel Pen, Tape

For this one I created the background with a galaxy style technique and the used the mask to add in the silhouette buildings. I used the different firework stamps to create a heart firework and stamped the girl and boy onto white card and used a waterbrush pen to colour, trying to make them look lit up by the fireworks. I finished by adding a banner sentiment and white gel pen detail.

Imagine Design Create Guest Design Team Thanks A Bunch Card - Stamped Flower Bouquet

Hello Everyone!

Today I am sharing a fun card I have created using the beautiful Doodled Flowers Stamp Set by Imagine Design Create and Alcohol Pens. I wanted to create an actual bunch of flowers.

The original post can be found here!

For this card I have also used:

6” x 4” Card Blank

White Card

Patterned Paper from my stash

Versfine Black Ink

Promaker Alcohol Pens: Gold, Mustard, Coral, Salmon Pink, Soft Green, Grey Green

Glitter Glue, Ribbon

Double Sided Tape, Foam Pads, PVA glue, Pearl Beads

I started by stamping the elements I wanted to fussy cut out onto white card and coloured in with my alcohol markers. I then fussy cut out all the flowers and leaves ready for assembly.

I then cut my patterned paper for matting and layering, and cut a square in order to create the paper wrap for my bunch of flowers. I tied ribbon around the paper wrap and tapped onto the white background.

I added the flowers with foam tape and added glitter glue and pearls to some of the centres and finished the card with a sentiment cut into a banner shape. This is such a sweet card and is the perfect way to say thanks!

For the Love of Stamps Birth Flowers Z-Fold Fence Design Team Card

Good Morning Everybody!

I hope everyone had a good Christmas and thinking of those who find this time of year hard.
Today I am sharing another of my Design Team Cards from the brand new Hunkydory Birth Flowers stamps by For the Love of Stamps.

For this card I had a play at creating a Z-fold card with a fence similar to the boxes that pop up.

Products Used:

Birth Flowers Stamps
Matt-tastic cut to 8” x 4” – scored at 2” and 4”
Ink Me! Professional Stamping Card – cut at 3 ½” x 1 ½” (x2) and 3 ½” x 3 ½”
Kraft Card, Versafine Ink– Onyx Black
Distress Oxide: Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Lucky Clover
Lawn Fawn Picket Fence Border Die
Waterbrush, Tape and Foam Pads

I created a card base and cut panels to adhere after stamping and colouring. I die cut the fence from kraft card and stamped / fussy cut flowers to have in the fence section. Something a little bit different and I just played (trial and error) with this one until I was happy with the layout.

Owl Christmas Card for Hubby using For the Love of Stamps - You're a Hoot Stamp Set

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Wishing you all a day of festivity and happiness! Today I am sharing a special Christmas Card I made for my hubby!  I used the Owl stamp set - You're a Hoot! Which is the free set with the For the Love of Stamps Magazine Issue 7 and the hats are from the Hunkydory Winter Warmers stamps which came with Creative Stamping Issue 50.

I wanted to create and Owl Family just like ours so there is a Daddy Owl, Mummy Owl and Little Princess Owl! :)
I kept this card simple by inking the edges of the Perfect Backgrounds Stamping Pad - Pretty Pastel and stamping the branches directly onto the background. I stamped the owls and hats seperately, colouring and fussy cutting these to layer over the branch. To finish I die cut the sentiments, added a pen border and some punched snowflakes to the background.

I hope you are having a lovely day and enjoying your time with family and friends. Today I will be sharing the fun with my hubby, daughter and parents. Perfect! :)

Hi Everyone!

Today I am sharing a card I have made using Hunkydory's The Joy of Christmas Traditional Decoupage papers and some Gold Mirri Card.

I kept this one simple and one layer, I finished the card by adding die cut and punched elements with a few sequins to finish. This is such a stunning image I felt that I didn't need to much embellishements to finish the card.

Peg Fairy using Crafty Ribbons Organza Swiss Dot Ribbon

Hi Everyone,

Today I am sharing one of my peg dolls I made using the Organza Swiss Dot Ribbon in White with Pink, Lilac and Turquoise dot. I have seen different peg dolls on pintrest and thought I would try to make some myself!

I had some leftover tulle doilies and found some wooden pegs and balls at my local recycling place. I had so much fun painting the face and playing with wool to make her hairstyle. To finish I used the Crafty Ribbons ribbon to tie her dress in place and create the loop to hook her onto the tree, I finished the back with a bow and used a ribbon rose to finish her dress.

Thanks for looking,

Sarah x

Shine Bright Guest Design Team Card for Imagine Design Create

 Hello Everyone,

Today I am sharing an inky card I made using the beautiful Diamond Love Stamp Set by Imagine Design Create and Distress Oxide Inks. I played around with some gold embossing powder and the inks to create this card

The Original Post can be found here!

For this card I have also used:
6” x 4” Card Blank
White Watercolour Card
Versamark Clear Ink
Distress Oxide Ink: Candied Apple and Spiced Marmalade
Double Sided Tape, PVA glue, Gold Sequins

I started by stamping the elements I wanted to heat emboss in gold onto the card. Once cool I half inked the diamond infill stamp with red and the other half orange and stamped this over top of the embossed diamonds.
I then ran the red ink pad over the edges of the card and put some of the orange ink onto my glass mat. I sprayed with water to make a puddle and dragged the edges through this to create the inky edges.

I sprayed with water and left to dry flat under my glass mat. Once dry I added flicks of ink with my brush, attached to the card blank and then added a few gold sequins to finish.

It’s sometimes fun to just have a play with the ink and see what happens. No two cards are the same and you can learn so much from just experimenting!
